Le Vaffieu – This traditional chalet restaurant is perfectly situated at the top of the Pleney and very easily accessed from Les Gets. The fantastic sun drenched terrace and local French specialities make it the perfect place to relax over a long lunch after a hard morning on the slopes! Be sure to call and book in for either a 12noon or 2pm service.

La Pointe de Nyon – With a large sunny terrace the Pointe de Nyon restaurant has 2 large dining rooms offering traditional cuisine and even a snack bar for a quick bite if you can’t tear yourself away from the slopes!

Chez Nannon – Famed for it’s ‘Reblochon Potatoes’, Chez Nannon offers traditional cuisine, meat from the grill, burgers, specials and home made desserts. Located at 1450m in an old alpine chalet with a welcoming atmosphere, Chez Nannon is a great place to stop for lunch.

La Fruitière – As part of the new Folie Douce, La Fruitiere is open for lunch so you can prepare yourself for the awesome apres ski to come! Whilst the restaurant isn’t yet open we have it on good authority that La Frutiere is modern and elegant whilst offering regional and Savoyard specialities in a gourmet style. We will certainly be heading to try it out!

La Reserve – For over 20 years La Reserve has been offering gourmet cuisine in the heart of Avoriaz. Recommended by the Michelin Guide, La Reserve is really something special with it’s south facing terrace and mountain decor. Located on the Boulevard des Skiers, it is possible to meet any non skiers in your group to show them the mountain dining experience. Booking is essential.

Chez Flo – Located a short walk from the main cable car to Avoriaz from Prodain, this is a perfect place to meet non skiers and is a great meeting place in general should your party split up. Offering varied menu choices, snack and with a huge terrace and bar outside it’s really great for everyone!

Changabang – This cafe bar and snowboard shop is just a short walk from the top of the Prodain cable car. It’s the perfect place to grab a burger, wrap, sandwich, beer or coffee and a brilliant place to keep the kids happy! The terrace is fantastic when the sun is out and you have a brilliant spot to watch people go by!

Village Igloo – The village Igloo in Avoriaz is a really unique experience! On Wednesdays you can dine inside the igloo with a traditional cheese fondue surrounded by their amazing ice sculptures. It’s imperative you book in advance for this as the dining experience is not available every night! If you don’t want to eat there but would like to have a drink they also offer a ‘Frosty Aperitif’ evening offering drinks and local products too! It is also possible to enjoy a fondue lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon. Once again, it is advisable to book ahead.

Le Cremaillere – Located in the Goat village of Lindarets, this restaurant is skiable to from Lindarets and also from part way down the piste from Chaux Fleurie. Offering snails, trout, fondue, tartiflette, steaks and charcuterie in a friendly, warm atmosphere this really is one of our favourite places to go for a winter lunch time stop!

La Paika – With stunning views from the outdoor terrace and an incredibly cosy interior, La Paik is a fantastic lunch stop. Specialising in Fish, meat and poultry from the wood fired bbq you will really find an enjoyable and different mountain dining experience at La Paika. The simply delicious desert buffet is just by the door, so there is no escaping a treat before you head back out to the slopes! Booking is essential.

La Chasse Montagne – A beautiful restaurant situated piste side in Les Gets. With animal hides, stone, slate and wooden decor it really does feel like a mountain lodge.

Chez Crepy – Accessed from the pistes or by foot from the Pierre Longue chair lift, Chez Crepy offers a large sunny terrace or a cosy Savoyarde interior to enjoy your meal. Fill yourself up with delicious Savoyarde specialities such as Fondue, Berthoud, Raclette and Reblochonnade whilst relaxing by the fire.

La Ferme a Gaby – An artisanal cheese dairy, La Ferme a Gaby really does know what it means to serve fresh food! Whilst here you can visit the museum and learn about the history of life in the alps and before you leave you can pop into the shop to take home some souveniers.
